Nordex Wins 80-Megawatt Turbine Order From Iberdrola in Romania
Nordex SE (NDX1), a German maker of wind turbines, won an order from Iberdrola SA (IBE) to supply a 80-megawatt farm in Romania.
Nordex will supply 32 of its 2.5-megawatt machines to the Chirnogeni wind farm near the Black Sea coast built by Iberdrola, the Hamburg-based company said today in a statement. The turbines are expected to start operating in late 2013, it said.
The project will be owned and operated by a group comprised of Marguerite Fund, EnerCap Power Fund and EP Global Energy Ltd, Nordex said. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and a group of commercial banks including Erste Bank, ING and UniCredit provided financing, it said.
