Bird to Buy Western Canada’s Nason to Expand in Water Treatment

Bird Construction Inc. (BDT) agreed to acquire Nason Contracting Group Ltd., which builds water and wastewater treatment facilities in western Canada, for C$12.8 million ($13 million) to expand in the water treatment market.
The Toronto-based diversified construction company said the purchase of Nason of St. Albert, Alberta, compliments both companies’ mechanical, electrical and contracting expertise for industrial clients as well as public-private partnerships.
