Polish Next-Day Power Gains Amid Outages, Exports to Sweden

Polish day-ahead electricity rose as unplanned outages coincided with increased flows to Sweden.

Next-day power added 0.4 percent to 187.53 zloty ($58.95) a megawatt-hour, exchange data compiled by Bloomberg show.

Poland was set to export more electricity to Sweden during peak-hours tomorrow evening, data from the Polish grid manager showed.

Day-ahead electricity on the coupled markets of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary decreased 1.5 percent to 53.78 euros ($69.82) a megawatt-hour in a daily auction, according to the countries’ market operators.

The Czech year-ahead contract declined for the sixth day, dropping by 0.1 percent to 45.55 euros a megawatt-hour, broker data on Bloomberg showed.
