Venezuela’s Chavez Names Navarro Vice President Until Dec. 1

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez named Hector Navarro standing vice president until Dec. 1 while Nicolas Maduro attends the Union of South American Nations meeting in Lima, the Official Gazette said today.

Navarro is the country’s electricity minister.
