Manchester City Assistant Coach Platt Suspended for Two Games

Manchester City assistant coach David Platt was suspended for two European games after being ejected from a Champions League match last week.
Platt was sent off by the referee for improper conduct during City’s 1-1 tie with Real Madrid on Nov. 21. He’ll miss next week’s final group-stage game againt Dortmund, as well as the following European match that City plays, continental governing body UEFA said on its website.
Manchester City is last in its Champions League group and would qualify for the round of 32 in the Europa League if it finishes third.
The club was also fined 12,000 euros ($15,000) after receiving five yellow cards in the game.
