Microsoft Says It Sold More Than 750,000 Xbox Consoles Last Week

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) said it sold more than 750,000 Xbox consoles in the U.S. during the week of Black Friday, exceeding the company’s internal projections.

Xbox Live Gold Subscription card sales increased more than 50 percent compared with the same week of 2011, the company said in an e-mailed statement. The sales figure includes purchases made from Nov. 18 to Nov. 23.
