Wal-Mart Faces Union-Backed Protests on Black Friday

Union-backed protesters demanding better pay and benefits at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) marched in Landover Hills, Maryland, today.

The United Food & Commercial Workers International Union planned demonstrations at Wal-Mart stores around the country on Black Friday to protest what it says are the retailer’s manipulation of hours and benefits. Wal-Mart said only 26 protests occurred at its stores last night and fewer than 50 associates participated. (Source: ABC)
