Johnson Electric Eyes Serbia Site for Supplying European Clients

Johnson Electric Holdings Ltd. (179) which makes electric motors for the auto industry and consumer goods, may open a plant in northwestern Serbia for supplying European clients.
The facility, near the city of Sombor and close to the border with Hungary and Croatia, would employ as many as 2,000 with output intended mainly for Germany and Hungary, Sinisa Lazic, the head of the local municipal assembly, said in a phone interview following talks with Johnson Electric officials.
