Fema Says NY Sandy Survivors Got $564 Million in U.S. Aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said New York survivors of Hurricane Sandy have received $564 million in federal individual assistance grants.

The assistance includes $531 million in housing grants and $33 million to cover other essential disaster-related needs, such as medical and dental expenses and lost personal possessions, FEMA said today in a statement.
