U.S. Stocks Rise as Boehner Talks With Obama Were ’Constructive’

U.S. stocks rose, erasing earlier losses, as House Speaker John Boehner said he had “constructive” talks with President Barack Obama about he budget and would accept government revenue increases coupled with spending cuts.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 0.3 percent at 1,356.73 at 11:53 a.m. in New York after earlier sliding as much as 0.7 percent.
