UN Carbon Offsets for 2013 Fall to Record as EU Allowances Drop

United Nations Certified Emission Reduction offsets for next year slid to an all-time low, declining as much as 13 percent to 87 cents a ton on London’s ICE Futures Europe exchange in London.

EU emissions permits had their biggest three-day decline since 2006, while Emission Reduction Units for December dropped 22 percent to a record 40 cents, according to ICE.
