Pertamina Seeks to Buy Low-Sulfur Crude for January Delivery

PT Pertamina, Indonesia’s state- owned oil company, issued a tender to buy 600,000 or 950,000 barrels of low-sulfur crude, a document obtained by Bloomberg News showed.

The company is seeking to purchase crude for delivery on Jan. 1 to Jan. 20 to Balikpapan or Cilacap, Indonesia. The tender closed at 3 p.m. Singapore time today, and offers are valid until 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Pertamina bought in its last tender 600,000 barrels of East Siberia-Pacific Ocean crude for January delivery to its refinery in Balikpapan and a similar amount of Russian Vityaz grade to its facility at Cilacap, an official said on Oct. 31, declining to be identified citing company policy.
