Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Nov. 9 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 378.4 billion yen ($4.7 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 38.9 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 4.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 335.4 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 309.1 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 79 billion yen in stocks, and bought 672.7 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 902.8 billion yen.
