Ormat Technologies Inc. (ORA), the U.S. unit of the largest Israeli developer of geothermal power, agreed to buy a project in Honduras from Geotermica Platanares SA. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The Platanares project, the first geothermal plant in Honduras, has a contract to sell as much as 35 megawatts of power to national utility Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica, Reno, Nevada-based Ormat said in a statement today.
