Chelsea Makes First Profit Since Abramovich Became Owner in 2003

Chelsea made a profit of 1.4 million pounds ($2.2 million) for the year ended June 30, 2012, the first time the Premier League soccer club has made a profit since Roman Abramovich took over as owner in 2003.

Chelsea made the announcement in a statement on its website.
