China Sunergy Co. (CSUN), a maker of modules used to generate power from the sun’s rays, plans to build two solar farms in the southwest county of Cornwall in the U.K.
The projects, with a capacity of 5 megawatts each, are expected to be completed by April 1, 2013, Sunergy said in a statement yesterday. It will supply modules for the plants.
The Nanjing, China-based company plans to increase investment in solar projects and expand them across Europe, Chief Executive Officer Stephen Cai said in the statement.
