Australia Close to Finalizing Enterprise Migration Accords

Australia is close to completing the first agreements allowing resource mega-projects to hire more overseas labor amid a skills shortage.

Australia can’t build natural gas and mining ventures without foreign workers, Energy Minister Martin Ferguson told reporters today in Sydney.

Chevron Corp. (CVX) is developing the A$43 billion ($44.8 billion) Gorgon liquefied natural gas project off northwest Australia, one of seven such ventures currently being built in the country to meet Asian demand.
