Jordan May Announce Austerity Measures Today, Ad Dustour Reports

Jordan’s government is expected to announce a series of austerity measures today that include reduced subsidies on commodities, Ad Dustour newspaper reported.

The government is planning to replace subsidies on some commodities with cash payments to some citizens, it reported, citing an unidentified government official.
