A golf club in the Cayman Islands is seeking approval for an on-site reverse osmosis plant to produce fresh water from the Caribbean for its golf course, CayCompass.com reported, citing planning authorities.
The North Sound Golf Club project, estimated to cost at least $1.5 million for the plant, tank and fencing, has received planning permission and now must be granted a concession from island authorities, according to CayCompass.
