Jordan Corporal Dies in Clash With Group From Syria

A Jordanian army corporal was killed during a gunfight late yesterday with an armed group that tried to cross the border from Syria illegally, the state-run Petra news agency reported today, citing the armed forces.

The army arrested the group’s members who were carrying eight Kalashnikov assault rifles and G3 rifles, the news agency said.
