NBC/WSJ Poll Shows Obama Tied With Romney 47%-47%

President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney are tied at 47 percent among likely voters nationally, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

The poll of 816 likely voters, conducted Oct. 17-20 after last week’s presidential debate, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. The poll also surveyed 1,000 registered voters who preferred Obama to Romney by 49 percent to 44 percent, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

NBC said in a previous poll conducted before the presidential debates began, Obama led Romney 49 percent to 44 percent.
