Latvian 2011 Budget Gap Was Less Than Estimated, Final Data Show

Latvia’s 2011 budget deficit was 3.4 percent of gross domestic product, less than a 3.5 percent estimate from April, final data from the central statistics office showed.
General government debt was 42.2 percent of GDP, compared with an earlier estimate of 42.6 percent, the office, based in the capital, Riga, reported on its website, citing European Union methodology.
