Avenue Capital Said to Hire Moore From Deutsche Bank for Europe

Avenue Capital Group LLC, the investment firm co-founded by billionaire Marc Lasry, hired Padraig Moore for its distressed debt business, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

Moore, who previously headed European distressed debt research at Deutsche Bank AG, will join Avenue Capital in London as a senior vice president, reporting to Richard Furst, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the hiring hasn’t been made public. Moore will start by the end of the year, the people said.

Avenue Capital closed its second European distressed asset investment fund at $2.78 billion earlier this year, exceeding its $2.5 billion target.

A spokesman for the New York-based firm declined to comment.

Avenue Capital, founded in 1995, manages $12.7 billion, according to its website.
