Google Says Confident Its Privacy Policy Respects European Rules

Google Inc. is “confident” that its privacy policy respects European law, its Global Privacy Counsel Peter Fleischer said today in an e-mailed statement.

The statement comes after the company, operator of the world’s largest search engine, was told by European Union regulators to bolster its privacy policy.
