EasyJet to Start Six New Routes From Edinburgh, Add Aircraft

EasyJet Plc (EZJ), Europe’s second-largest discount airline, said it will add routes from U.K. cities Edinburgh and Manchester to destinations including Reykjavik, Iceland.

Easyjet will base an additional two planes in the Scottish capital, it said in a statement today. Other destinations out of Edinburgh include Copenhagen, Prague, Croatia’s Dubrovnik, and Hamburg and Berlin in Germany, EasyJet said. The flights will bring an additional 140,000 passengers a year to Edinburgh.

The carrier will add one aircraft and five new routes out of Manchester starting in February to destinations including Venice, Italy, Antalya in Turkey and the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini.
