ECB’s Costa Says Portugal Is on the Right Path, Meeting Targets

European Central Bank Governing Council member Carlos Costa said Portugal’s adjustment effort is on a “good path” as the country’s government continues to meet its bailout targets.

“The effort of adjusting the Portuguese economy has been considerable,” Costa, who also heads the Bank of Portugal, said in a speech at a conference in Macau that was posted on the central bank’s website today.
