Cardinals Beat Nationals 12-4 to Even MLB Playoff Series at 1-1

Carlos Beltran hit two home runs and the host St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Washington Nationals 12-4 to even their Major League Baseball playoff series at one game each.

Game 3 of the best-of-five National League Division Series is set for Oct. 10 in Washington.

The winner of the series will face the Cincinnati Reds or the San Francisco Giants in the NL Championship Series. The Reds lead the Giants 2-0 in their division series.

The New York Yankees try to take a 2-0 lead in their AL Division Series tonight when they play at the Baltimore Orioles, if the weather allows. Rain is forecast throughout the evening in Baltimore and the start of the game has been delayed.
