SWCC Plans Three Solar-Powered Desalination Plants, Zawya Says

Saline Water Conversion Corp. is planning three solar-powered desalination plants in Haqel, Dhuba and Farasan, Abdul Rahman Al-Ibrahim, governor of the Saudi company, was cited as saying by the Zawya news agency.

Two solar-powered desalination plants currently operate in Al-Khafji and Jubail. The desalination plant being constructed in Ras Al-Khair on the Arabian Gulf coast would be ready within two years, he told the Middle East business site.
