U.K. Stocks Advance; Ftse 100 Index Gains 0.3% After U.S. Data

U.K. stocks advanced, led by Vedanta Resources Plc and Centrica Plc.

The U.K.’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.2 percent to 5,821.72 at 1:24 p.m. in London after earlier falling 0.4 percent.

U.S. companies added more workers than projected in September, evidence the labor market may be perking up, a private report based on payrolls showed.
