Ukraine’s Grain Exports Seen by Union Reaching 5.5 Million Tons

Ukraine exported 5.5 million metric tons of grain in the marketing year which started July 1 through September, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation said.

The former Soviet state shipped 2.6 million tons of wheat, 1.45 million tons of corn and 1.35 million tons of barley, the producers’ group, based in the capital Kiev, said today in an e- mailed statement.

The country has also exported 600,000 tons of rapeseed, according to the statement.
