Moscow Exchange Approves New Year Stock Trading Break Dec. 29

The Moscow Exchange plans to halt stock trading on Dec. 29 for Russia’s New Year holidays and work on Jan. 8, according to a statement today on the bourse’s website.
The bourse’s council on Sept. 19 recommended a break from Dec. 29 through Jan. 7, as well as testing the settlement clearing system on Jan. 4 and halting the bourse for holidays on Feb. 23, March 8, May 1 and 9, June 12 and Nov. 4.
