Edison SpA, Korea South-East Power Co and Marubeni Corp (8002) of Japan were chosen to submit binding bids for building a thermal power plant at Plomin in north-western Croatia, estimated to cost 800 million euros ($1 billion).
Pol-Mot Holding SA of Poland was also selected, Hrvatska Elektroprivreda d.d., Croatia’s national grid operator, said today in an e-mailed statement. The plant in the Istrian peninsula will have a capacity of 500 megawatts, according to the Economy Ministry’s plans.
