Qatar Signs Accord for $1.25 Billion Grant to Jordan, Petra Says
Qatar agreed give $1.25 billion to a Gulf Cooperation Council fund for development projects in Jordan, Petra, the official Jordanian news agency, reported, citing Suleiman Al Hafez, Jordan’s finance minister.
The grant, which will be disbursed at a rate of $250 million a year over five years, is part of a $5 billion Gulf fund to which Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will each contribute $1.25 billion, the news agency said.
