LyondellBasell Responding to Event at Houston Refinery

LyondellBasell Industries NV is responding to an “event” at its Houston refinery, according to a message recorded on a community hotline.

“There is no need for action by the community at this time,” according to the recording. The message was as of 12:40 p.m. local time today.

“We have not experienced any issues which would affect production,” David Harpole, a company spokesman, said in an e- mail today.
