ECB Might Not be Able to Solve Solvency Issues, Weber Says

UBS AG Chairman and former European Central Bank Governing Council member Axel Weber said the European Central Bank might not be able to solve peripheral countries’ underlying problems only by providing liquidity.
The ECB can buy time, Weber said at an event in Singapore today. Still, it might not be able to solve the countries’ underlying long-term solvency problems, he added
