CAW Reaches Tentative Labor Deal With GM to Avert Strike

The Canadian Auto Workers union said it reached a tentative agreement with General Motors Co. (GM) to avert a strike at the company’s Canadian plants. There remain a “few hiccups” to completing the deal, union President Ken Lewenza told reporters at a Toronto hotel today. Lewenza called a press conference for later tonight, at 9:15 p.m.
