Taiwan’s CPC Said to Buy Angola Crude From Unipec, Sonangol
Taiwan’s CPC Corp. bought three cargoes of Angolan crude for loading in November from Sonangol Holdings and China International United Petroleum & Chemical Corp., known as Unipec, according to two traders who participate in the market.
CPC purchased one lot each of Palanca for loading on Nov. 14 to Nov. 15 and Cabinda for Nov. 16 to Nov. 17 from Sonangol as well a consignment of Cabinda from Unipec for Nov. 26 to Nov. 27, the traders said, declining to be identified as the information is confidential. Each cargo is for one million barrels.
The company bought 3 million barrels of Angolan Cabinda and 1 million barrels of Palanca crudes for loading in October from Chevron Corp. (CVX), Sonangol Holdings and Total SA (FP), according to three traders with knowledge of the matter.
