AECOM Wins Contracts for Romanian Water, Sewage Projects

AECOM Technology Corp. (ACM), a U.S. engineering company, said it will provide technical assistance to Romania’s water agency for three projects totaling at least 8.3 million euros ($11 million) in eastern Europe.

The company was selected to assist on project management services for the second phase of the Bucharest-Glina wastewater treatment plant in Romania’s capital that’s valued at at least 7.1 million euros, according to an AECOM website statement.

AECOM will also help upgrade the water system and sewer network in the central city of Brasov for Compania de Apa Brasov under a two-year contract.

The company will help the utility Apa Canal 2000 SA Pitesti implement and monitor upgrades as well to the water and wastewater system in Arges county in southern Romania, it said.
