Yunel Escobar of Blue Jays Banned Three Games for Anti-Gay Slur

Yunel Escobar of the Toronto Blue Jays was suspended for three games after he wore eye-black patches bearing an anti-gay slur in Spanish.

The ban was announced in a news release from the Blue Jays, who open a Major League Baseball series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium tonight.
