Yandex, Google Weekly Internet Search Shares Advance in Russia

Yandex NV (YNDX)’s share of Russia’s Internet searches rose in the week to Sept. 16 and the portion of Google Inc.’s searches also advanced, while Group Ltd. (MAIL)’s share remained steady, according to

The share for Yandex, the owner of Russia’s most-used search engine, rose to 60.5 percent, from 60.4 percent in the previous week, Liveinternet, an Internet service provider and researcher, said on its website today. Russian searches using Google, the world’s largest Web- search provider, rose to 26.8 percent in the week to Sept. 16 from 26.6 percent, for a four-week average of 26.6 percent, the data show.

The portion of Group Ltd., the largest Russian- language Internet company, was unchanged at 8.2 percent. The four-week average was also 8.2 percent, the data showed.
