Carl Turnipseed, executive vice president and head of the financial services group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, plans to retire in January.
Turnipseed has had a 43-year-career at the district bank and is also a member of its management committee, the New York Fed said in a statement today. He became the first black among the top 10 executives at the bank.
The New York Fed didn’t say who will succeed Turnipseed.
