Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index Increased to 79.2 in September

The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan index of consumer sentiment unexpectedly increased to 79.2 in September from 74.3 the prior month.

The gauge was projected to fall to 74, according to the median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
