Saudi Man Gets 2,000 Lashes for Sexual Blackmail, Arab News Says

A Saudi Arabian court sentenced a 34-year-old Saudi man to 2,000 lashes and eight years in prison for blackmailing 13 women, Arab News reported, citing a Jeddah court decision.

The man was fined 300,000 riyals ($80,000) for threatening to publish personal pictures of his victims if he didn’t get a payment of 1,500 riyals a month from each woman, the newspaper reported. The defendant was reported to the authorities by his wife, the newspaper said
