Tropical Storm Leslie Makes Landfall in Newfoundland

Tropical Storm Leslie made landfall on Newfoundland near Fortune, the Canadian Hurricane Centre said on its website.

The National Post quoted Bob Robichaud, a meteorologist with the center, as saying the core of the storm went ashore at about 8:30 a.m. local time, according to Canadian Press.
