Yandex Weekly Search Share Falls in Russia, Google’s Gains

Yandex NV (YNDX)’s share of Russia’s Internet searches declined in the week to Sept. 9, while the portion of Google Inc.’s advanced and Group Ltd. (MAIL)’s share remained steady, according to

The share for Yandex, the owner of Russia’s most-used search engine, fell to 60.4 percent in the week to Sept. 9, from 60.6 percent in the previous week, Liveinternet, an Internet service provider and researcher, said on its website today. Russian searches using Google, the world’s largest Web- search provider, rose to 26.6 percent from 26.5 percent, for a four-week average of 26.5 percent, the data show.

The share of Group Ltd., the largest Russian- language Internet company, was unchanged at 8.2 percent. The four-week average was also 8.2 percent, the data showed.
