Russia's Beet-Sugar Production Seen by Union Rising 5.5%

Russia’s production of beet-sugar rose 5.5 percent from a year earlier to 582,200 metric tons as of today, the country’s Sugar Producers’ Union said on its website.
Sixty-three out of 78 sugar refineries are working in Russia. They processed about 5.4 million tons of sugar-beets since the season started on Aug. 1, up from about 4.9 million tons a year earlier, the union said.
