Idemitsu Kosan Shuts Tokuyama Naphtha Cracker for Maintenance

Idemitsu Kosan Co. (5019) shut the 623,000 metric-ton-a-year ethylene plant at its Tokuyama refinery in western Japan for maintenance on Sept. 4, a company official said today by phone from Tokyo.
The official, who asked not to be identified because of company policy, wouldn’t say when the plant will resume operation.
