China Summons Japan Ambassador to Protest Islands Sovereignty

China summoned Japan’s ambassador to protest sovereignty of islands in dispute today, according to a statement posted on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website today.
Japan should take responsiblity for the consequences unless it stops infringing China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the statement cited China’s foreign minister Yang Jiechi as saying.
