Ferrer Wins First Set of U.S. Open Men’s Semifinal From Djokovic

Fourth-seeded David Ferrer of Spain finished off the first set of his semifinal against defending champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia, winning the first game of today’s play to win the set 6-2.

The match was halted yesterday by the threat of severe weather and resumed this morning with Ferrer leading 5-2 at the National Tennis Center in new York.
