Colombia Coffee Output May Reach 9 Million Bags, Minister Says

Colombia coffee production may reach nine million bags this season, Agriculture Minister Juan Camila Restrepo said in an interview on Radio Caracol.

Restrepo’s forecast is down from a peak of 9.5 million bags in a Sept. 2 statement from the ministry. The country’s annual coffee output may surpass 12 million bags in coming years, he said.
